We changed plans on hiking Humboldt Peak after testing the 4WD trail in daylight. We made it up fine in the stock WJ, but attempting it again at 3am before our planned hike day would be a challenge for spotting good lines.
So, we packed up and hit the road toward the San Juan range. Arrived at Grizzly Gulch Trailhead around 8pm with enough light to set up camp and enjoy a fantastic sunset. More words to come later, but here’s some images to start. Possibly the most beautiful sights my eyes have had crammed into them in a single 24hr period.
